Seward Prep

I’m Kate Seward, a poet, academic, media professional, and founder of Seward Prep. I studied English at Yale, then got a master’s degree in creative writing at NYU. I spent ten years teaching expository, creative, and business writing at NYU, Stanford University, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as mentoring private clients one-on-one. In 2015 I pivoted and went to Paramount’s internal creative agency, and from there to R/GA, an award-winning advertising agency. At Seward Prep, I unite my branding and creative experience to help students map out individualized academic journeys, create passion-driven extracurricular plans, design bespoke college admissions strategies, as well as how to write and think critically. Together, all of this produces college essays and application packages that get admissions officers to sit up and take notice.
