Find Your Story: Creative Writing for Teens
Knowing yourself, your voice, and your story is a source of strength. Confidence. When you can give shape to your story, you can give shape to any story, and that, as a friend of mine in private equity puts it, “is a super-power.” Over the course of 30 hours of class (via Zoom), your teen will write at least eight short pieces and a full-length personal essay, along with acquiring an arsenal of writing techniques that will make them better writers, better thinkers, and more creative overall. They’ll learn how to give and receive feedback without feeling terrible or crumbling from insecurity, and they’ll be comfortable working with and speaking in front of groups of people. Best of all, learning how to articulate who they are and what they’re all about will make their schoolwork, as well as any other writing they do, like college applications, resumes, job cover letters, and graduation speeches—much, much, much, much, easier.
4 weeks, minimum 4 students, maximum 6. $3500.
Class starts July 19th and ends August 11th. We meet T/Th from 5:30-7:30pm EST.
Classes will be recorded.
